Jams, chutneys, pickles, relishes and salsas: These items are offered in an almost bewildering array of choices, from wine and fruit jellies and jams, through fruit chutneys and both sweet and tart relishes, to a wide range of salsas (both hot and sweet).
Our jam and jelly vendor offers 82 different jams and jellies, including all the familiar ones and some rarer ones like rhubarb jam, apple cider-cinnamon jelly, strawberry-gooseberry jam, and violet jelly.
Pickles include hot pepper pickles, bread and butter pickles, piccalilli, green tomato relish, zucchini relish, pickled red onions, sweet and spicy pickled cucumbers (with habanero chilies), and Mexican pickled vegetables.
Mango chutney is our current fresh fruit chutney, but pineapple chutney and several others are expected. Our pastry vendor offers a cranberry-walnut chutney.
The salsas include corn and bean salsa, black bean salsa, roasted red salsa, ranchero salsa, green tomatillo salsa, chipolte salsa, Spanish peanut salsa, and Taquera salsa.
And where would all these salsas be without delicious, handmade tortilla chips? We’ve got ‘em.
Flowers: Later in the summer we will have a big selection of sunflower and other mixed bouquets, many of these being remarkably brilliant.
Candies and other sweets: Local honey, fudge, and peanut brittle are on offer.
Popcorns: Kettle corn (salty and slightly sweet), cheese corn, and caramel corn.
Herbal Soaps and Scents: Fragrant organic soaps (in many varieties), lip balm, spritzers, and skin creams.
Other: Bee’s wax candles, lotion candles, bee’s wax, jewelry, brooms, and bouquets and natural-bristle brooms (both little and big). We also have shaved ice!
